Blog experience

It has been an interesting process, very curious ‘cause is strange write your opinions, feelings, points of views and thoughts in English, that takes time, but I feel a progress in my formation, and sometimes I fell that I am thinking in this foreign language, and that surprise me ‘cause once time, a female teacher of English, in the school, told me that me and anyone of my partners will never think and talk inside his own mind in English, ‘cause is impossible due our condition since we were kids, when we learn the Spanish.

But I think that’s false and ridiculous, is teach that you are limited and that you can not progress, but now I see that is probable, just sometimes, but possible.

In the end, I liked to do this blog, I didn’t had one, and is a good tool to learn and to prove how much you know, incentive your brain to work, and is easy to correct, but has a defect, the always used but never admitted tool: copy paste. But I don’t used here, it wasn’t necessary, ‘cause I read in English some biographies, like in the architect and in the novel’s work, I understood them, so then I wrote mi opinion, and when I was doing that in the initials works, I see the poor vocabulary that I had, what makes me speak with a limited words, and that’s no good.

So I decided to read in English some magazines, stories, watch TV in English, or hear the dialogues that are in the BBC page, web site that I comment to my father, who was enchanted with the quality of the material, conversation and voices, that can be heard very clearly.

I liked be a blogger, but I think that I will enjoined more if I had a little more time, and as a advice, why don’t you do a facebook to learn English?

Rotating tower

Mmmm, well, i can`t decide one stand, because in one way, in the plastic and artistic point of view, is nice, it will be amazing, a big body of concrete and metal rotating on his own center, configurating differents textures and forms on his exterior faces, changing every time, every second, smashing hiper mega ultra incredible!, but, what happens with the resistance and the security inside the building?, in a case of fire, for example, with all the stairs, elevators, acces and doors concentrated in one point, so vulnerable to me...
In fact, it sounds more like a capricho than a real expresion of art, egoista, individualista, makes me think in a millionare man, a capitalist, who doesn`t care about anything, just he have the money to buy all the energy that will need that tower to move, for what?.... for the art, progress, and bussines.

The Novel

The title of the novel I choose is La casa de los espiritus, by Isabel Allende, a Chilean writer, who born in Lima, Peru in August 2, 1942, daughter of Thomas allende, a Chilean ambassador in Peru, and Francisca Llona Barrios. Thomas Allende was a cousin of Salvador Allende, who was the president of Chile between 1970 and 1973.
Isabel has always worked around the literature, as journalist, translating romance novels, and editor and dramatist of women magazine and newspapers, like in Caracas, where she lived.
I read this book in the summer, this year, it has more than 400 pages, the largest book I ever read, so i took my time, and in 3 weeks I finished, it was so good.
The story was all around the time of Allende`s presidency, politics, liberty, civil and human rights, researching and talking about that from a communist point of view, (because of the author’s experiences). To me, is a curious thing that the tale is narrated through real events and peoples who lived in that years, like Pablo Neruda, Silvio Rodriguez and the same Salvador Allende, but always treaties with other names and identities.
I liked because of that very interesting story, which describes what happen in my country all that years, with all that repression, pain and suffering that the people must to resist; in a few words, an awesome story of the history of Chile.

The Architect

Mario Botta is one of my favorites, a very geometrical architect, he born in Mendrisio, Ticino canton, Switzerland, on April 1, 1943, and along his career, he has studied and worked with Le Corbusier and Louis I. Kahn, masters of the architecture, so i think he was so lucky, and smart. In fact, at the young age of 16 he design his first house, so early, just as his interest in architecture and arts, and because of that experiences he is one of the best in the world, with a very creative mind that uses to make complex textures, a lover of the red brick as a element to create that compositions, and a strong and geometrical way to represent architecture through basics forms, what makes me feel identified with his work, because that is what i want to do in the future; I like the way how he stand in front of the architecture. Anyways, I see a little kind of obsession with an estrange form like a circle with diagonal lines, like a leaf of a tree, figure that try to incorporate in his design every time he can, playing a essential visual work, as his sign.
Since 1970, year when he begins with his own office in Lugano, he has made a lots of houses and others projects in the world and principally in the Ticino region, Switzerland, where his style is very common. Some of his projects are Villeurbanne (1988), a cathedral in Évry (1995), and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art or SFMoMA (1994).

Mountain building: Wellness centre

Well, I’m not a fanatic, but is a labor of Botta, one of my favorites architects, but in any case I choose this structure because is his work, it will be ridiculous, I choose it `cause to me, is one of the best ways how architecture play with nature.
Placed in Arosa , Switzerland, this mountain valley offer many possibilities to the expression and disposition of the space, with a lot of nature and amazing views.
In a respect visual attitude, the element of the snow forest is used as a way of expression of that connection in a beautiful composition, with the windows as trees that camouflage in the mountain where is placed the thermal hotel. A defect i think that could be named, is the disposition of the inner space that is underground just as a function way, but is supposed that the great volume is interred and no visible from the nearest in respect for the villages that are surround, but is a shame `cause all that space used in the artistic form would made even better the totality and made stronger the connection between nature and the artificial elements.
